My Shoes...

"Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged." -Matthew 7:1-2 (NLT)... "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." - John 7:24 (NKJV)

My shoes are too big for you, and their width is too narrow,
There's great depth to their volume, in no way are they shallow.

I walk without weariness, I run and do not faint,
I am a sinner, saved by grace. I wasn't born a saint.

When I am weak, Christ is my strength, He upholds me when I fall
,Despite my slips and stumbles galore, He keeps me standing tall.

My shoes... They have no soles, I feel the rocks, the glass, the dirt,
Enduring by faith keeps me in this race, though my feet, they often hurt.

You couldn't walk a mile in my shoes, for they weigh innumerable pounds,
In my weakness, I spread the Gospel of peace, to keep you safe & sound.

Many times I cried out to God, "Please let this cup pass from me."
Nevertheless, Your will be done, for I belong to Thee.

No one knows the mind of another, nor the heart and that's nothing odd,
This can can only be revealed by the Spirit, and that is done by God.

My shoes take me where I would not go under a normal circumstance,
My steps are ordered by the Lord, by purpose... Not by chance.

It's said, "Do not judge a man, until you've walked a mile in his shoes,"
My shoes aren't made for walking, nor running, they're to spread the Good News.

"If any man be willing, let him take up his cross and follow me."
"There is a cross for everyone, there's a cross for you and me."

We press toward the mark, with our eyes fixed on God,
We sometimes have to take a moment to rest, to complete this iditarod.

My shoes were custom made by God for you, but they fit me,
He said, before I formed you in the belly, I knew and ordained thee.
