"Wise words satisfy like a good meal; the right words bring satisfaction. The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences." - Proverbs 18:20-21 (NLT)

Watch Your Words
It's written, "Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those that love it, shall eat the fruit thereof." Take a moment to consider just how powerful our words are... God created the world with a word. Jesus saved, healed, delivered, restored sight to the blind, caused the lame to walk, restored hearing to deaf ears, and raised the dead, with a word. Parents... Your children's lives, their hopes, dreams and futures all hang on your words. What you tell them as they grow, determines their self-worth in their adolescence, especially if you fail to let them know who God says they are, so build them up. Spouses... Both husbands and wives, the peace and love between you & your mate hangs in the balance of your words, your communication... again, the building up, support & encouragement of one another, according to the way & will of God determines how healthy your relationship/marriage shall be, and whether or not it lasts, or stands the test of time. Our words to ourselves and to God, our thoughts, determine our level of faith, and are detrimental as to what we receive from God. Watch your words... Though we see things others may possess, that we'd like to experience/have in our lives, jealousy & envy can cause us us a heap of trouble. What may look like a healthy relationship/marriage on the outside, could be a couple living in anguish under a tremendous amount of debt, that are perhaps sleeping in separate rooms, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and sexually frustrated. It may be a couple where one party, or both are adulterers, controlling, or abusive... You never know. The point is not to wish we had/have what someone else does, but that God supplies our needs according to His timing, purpose and His will for our lives... Be careful what you ask, and definitely what you pray for... Watch your words.
