It's not your job that sustains you, but God you supplied you with your job. It amazes me how people can be so intent and dedicated to their jobs, to be at work for 5:00, 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. 5-7 days per week, always saying, "Gotta make this money... Paperchasin'... Getting it in... Grinding," etc." but say that 7:00, 8:00, 10:00 or even 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning service is too early to get up to go to church to hear the Word of the same God that blessed them with their jobs... Get it together, get you priorities straight... "While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!” Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” - Job 1:18-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matt. 6:19-21
