Lesson for Life: LET GOD CHOOSE FOR YOU
"And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.... And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed." - Genesis 2:18, 20-25
This one hits home for me... Not only had I heard from God, but I'd later been told by prophecy, that my ex would be my wife. However, in spite of our personal hopes, dreams & visions, and although God may give us a Word, concerning various things, it's HIGHLY possible, and VERY easy for us to walk out of His will, thus altering the path of our lives. In my case, a woman that I'd met at a church, once a very loving individual, over time became a church-going, hearer, yet not a doer of the Word, she refused to pray for us as a couple, became demeaning, degrading and hard-hearted toward me, lover of material things, disputer & rejector of the Word, literally stating, "I don't care what God say, I'mma do what I wanna do, and say what I wanna say." And that was AFTER He'd spake to my spirit, reaffirming & confirming multiple times that we were unequally yoked, and I was still trying to "make it work," knowing she "was" a better person. Til' this day, she remains an aspiring author, always advising on family & relationships, yet currently seeing a married man, smh... That's truly being a hypocrite. But because she changed, His plan & His will changed. In short, though our dreams/visions, and even God's may remain the same, the other party HAS TO BE willing, and obedient to Him. Although they may at heart, be believers in Christ, and know the Word, keep in mind that God is no respecter of persons, and that above all, He loves His children, and says, it is better that one hang a millstone around his neck, and be cast into the sea, than to hurt one of His little ones. In short, He doesn't want us with anyone that doesn't treat us right, and love us wholeheartedly... We must abandon our fleshly desires and seek His guidance, seek His peace, and seek His will. Ignore the outside, look inwardly, and listen to His voice. Let God make the choice for us, and follow His instructions.
