Seeking God's Will...

When we fast and pray, God speaks to our hearts, to our spirits, and often reveals things that we wouldn't normally see with our natural eyes. I often say that the truth sometimes hurts, yet at the same time, it heals. It heals in the manner that we become set free from sometimes a hidden stronghold, plan of attack, or bondage from the enemy... And the pain of suffering, though it's sometimes inevitable, is not what our Father intends for His children. Nevertheless, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks... just as life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those that love it, shall eat the fruit thereof. We must declare that we're healed, not broken, that our joy is full in the midst of our pains, for we have a loving Father who's already made plans for us in His heart to provide us with a true love unlike any other, according to His will.

We must be careful to be sure when we're seeking God's will for our lives, especially in the matters of our ministries, affairs of the heart, and definitely in love & marriage, for we do not want to be unequally yoked with one who's not a "like-minded" believer. In other words, just because they believe in God, they may not believe neither desire to practice His written Word. Sometimes, what we'll hear is our own voice, following our emotions, because everything "looks," and "feels" so right, but God speaks DIRECTLY to our spirits & our hearts, along with that, providing His peace in those situations.

Keep in mind this passage... "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” - Matthew 12:33-35 (NKJV)

We serve a God of love, peace and joy. And He is a God of truth, as it is written, there is nothing hidden that shall not be made manifest by light. There is no deception, no lies, no ulterior motives in Him, neither in those whom He sends to us. They shall be transparent, in alignment with His Word, and with the vision He places in our hearts for our lives... Personally, I've been there with a woman I was SURE that would be my wife, and she in turn heard from God that I'd be her husband, and this was CLEARLY confirmed. Knowing of my accepting the call to ministry, when encouraging her with the Word, telling her that God was providing for her, protecting her, keeping her, and to give him thanks for all that He's done and will continue to do, she emphatically proclaimed, "I don't wanna hear that. That's negative talk. I don't care what you say, and what God say. I'm gonna do what I wanna do, and say what I wanna say." Needless to say, that was my CLEAR sign to COMPLETELY let go. For while I held onto faith, hope & love, she turned away and literally stated that she didn't care anymore if it was God's will, she was CHOOSING to walk away. So though God may give us direction, we have the choice to follow it. Take Heed... Search your heart. Seek Him First.
