It's something how spiritual growth, speaking, living by, and standing on the Word of God, causes us to separate from many things, places, and some people... Ironically, some people choose to separate themselves, and if we're too hard-headed, stubborn, or headstrong to take heed to God's guidance, direction, and clearly, big & bold lettered, "THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANT FOR YOU, BECAUSE IT DOESN'T LINE UP WITH MY WORD, LOVE GOD" sign, then He'll remove the thing we're holding onto, already healed while we feel broken... It's not that the other party doesn't believe in God necessarily, though we find many don't, or they may not understand the concept of faith, believing in which they cannot touch or see, but some may not have the same zeal, or passion that we may possess... In essence, we don't have the same relationship with Him, unequally yoked, not on One accord, definitely on different pages, often different books. And some just don't wanna hear what the Word says, thinking every scripture is about them, their sin or their situation. It's not that at all... Every scripture may not apply/pertain to one's particular situation, but EVERY single letter, word, scripture, passage, chapter, book, and the entire Bible applies/pertains to EACH and EVERY one of our lives. We have the choice of whether or not to accept, and apply it, to choose, peace or confusion, deliverance or disgust. Job is quoted as saying, "I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food." - Job 23:12 (NKJV)... Now it's more than what's necessary, that would mean that it's vital... Likewise, "But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” - Matthew 4:4 (NLT)... We MUST grow in wisdom & knowledge of the Word of God, strengthening our relationship with Him, abiding by the gospel of Christ to our utmost as believers. We won't be perfect, but we'll grow into perfection... As for me, those who know me, know that as a person, I never changed... However in spirit... I transformed. (Rom. 12:1-2)
